Manoj was forced by his elder brother to play the sport to better his job prospects. After he returned from a Sports Authority of India (SAI) camp in Gandhinagar, Dhull felt the need to give the trials a shot too. And as it turned out, he was selected. The next four years that he spent in the Gujarat capital, along with budding players such as Sandeep Narwal, proved to be a great learning experience.
Manoj, the youngest of three siblings, loves being around his family and is generally a quiet person. A big fan of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, he loves watching Bollywood movies in his free time.
Manoj feels the positive energy around him here in U Mumba which he claims has boosted his confidence and has made him want to focus more on his game. “I also want to do exceedingly well especially for my mother who passed away,” he adds.
